Anthology- Struggling with this : Robot

“A creation which is built to supersede it’s creator is a dangerous thing.”

One which Doctor Alan Asher failed to realize when he created the first fully functional humanoid robot with an AI brain programmed to assimilate and evolve.

Beta-1 was the first unique creation of its kind, designed to perform far more complex task than a human being and above all, as a result of the corporation’s increasing desire to reduce over head cost and initiate a drive towards 100% efficiency in its industries and technology sectors with an added incentive of low maintenance.
The new advancement had been heralded as the new phase in the technological age which had initially being focused on software and social media platforms. One which world governments had been uncomfortable with for decades but were not entirely able to control. Totalitarian regimes had been the only ones able to stamp out the activist movements and dissemination of strategic and classified information. These new technological advancements had created overnight billionaires and nearly phased out conventional media platforms mercilessly.
A rumored exchange of memos between white house aides in 2019 was to be the catalyst towards that spurred technological industrialists to push for a new grant towards what they termed ‘Production Optimization’. Not necessarily a new term but it served its purpose to blind Labor Unions and activists from the true purpose of this new initiative.

Anthology. Vol. 1: Signal . Change.

Signal the coming of change,

The dawn of answer’s age,

Where have our lies led us,

To no progress but pause,

A stagnation inherited,

A nation dispirited,

Blood flows from river heads,

Children snatched from little beds,

Signal the coming of change,

One man’s vote on the page,

His land’s riches lost to greed,

Yet his need is only to feed,

His fear fed by leader’s inaction

His brother dead, killed in action,

He wishes for no more explosions,

That terror is but just a notion.

Signal the coming of change,

The breaking of chains; bondage,

Dreams of a nation thriving,

Discarding thoughts of merely surviving,

Ending the rot for our children coming,

So that they may find a land belonging,

Signal the coming of change,

oh! let it be all the rage.
